How long do For Now Art Tattoos last?
On average three to five days. They last longer on dry skin than on oily skin and they won’t last as long if they get rubbed by your clothing. For best results, your skin should be clean, dry and free from oils or moisturizer.
How long do I have to wait for the colours to dry?
The colours will dry on your skin in about three minutes.
Do For Now Art Tattoos contain PPD?
No. The serious problems with ‘black henna’ temporary tattoos (especially in Spain and Greece) widely reported on TV and in the newspapers, are caused by allergic reactions to the chemical para-phenylenediamine (PPD). PPD is added to henna to make the stain black instead of the usual reddish-brown colour. Products containing PPD should never be applied to the skin and it is safer to avoid ‘black henna’ tattoos completely. There is no PPD in For Now products.
Are For Now colours safe for use on sensitive skin?
Yes. All the colours are water-based and approved to EU and FDA cosmetic standards. In the very unlikely event of irritation, the tattoo should be washed off immediately with soap and water
How do I remove a For Now ART tattoo?
By gently rubbing it with a face cloth, soap and warm water. For Now Art tattoo colours don’t go into your pores – they stay on the surface of your skin, so they can be rubbed off without a trace when you want to remove them. The longer they have been on, the more you need to rub them to take them off.
Will For Now Art Tattoos come off when I have a shower or go swimming?
No – not if you take a little care. For Now colours are very water resistant, so they stay on as long as you don’t rub the tattoo when it is wet. Pat gently with a towel to dry – don’t rub.
How many Art Tattoos can I make using the colours?
It depends on the tattoo design of course, but approximately 20 with a Sparkle colour and about 120 with a Pearlescent or a Standard colour. The Sparkle pens are supplied with the colour already in the foam tip and the air-tight cap must be replaced immediately after use or the colour will dry out. The Pearlescent and Standard pens contain much more colour, which comes in a tube that you squeeze on to the foam tip as you need it. The colour is in a capped tube so that it doesn’t dry out and you can use every drop.
How many times can I re-use each stencil?
Usually about 4 or 5 times before it loses its stickiness. After each use, replace the stencil on its backing sheet and carefully wipe it clean with a damp cloth or a baby wipe, being careful not to wet the sticky side of the stencil.
How many colours can I use on one ART tattoo?
As many as you like, although combining just two or three colours often looks better than using lots of different colours, but it’s up to you – For Now puts you in control. For best results, start with the lightest colour and add the darker colours on top.
Can I have my own designs made into stencils?
Sorry, no. We are unable to offer a custom stencil design service and can only supply the designs featured on the website.
