The piercing at the top of the lobe is known as a helix piercing which sits at the top of the ear cartilage, there is plenty of space up there so there is the opportunity for a double or triple helix piercing. Plenty of opportunity to sparkle! Upper lobe piercings should give no more pain than a lobe piercing but may take up to six months to fully heal, compared to one or two months for a lobe piercing. It is important to treat your piercing with care and attention to ensure you avoid any complications.
