Industrial piercings consist of two piercings along the outer ear rim linked by one long bar. They can be placed either straight across the ear or at an angle. In different parts of the world the term “industrial piercing” can refer to both vertically placed piercings and horizontal piercings. WHAT IS AN INDUSTRIAL PIERCING?
The industrial piercing has often been associated with radical out-there punk styles but these days is seen as a more day to day unique addition to your style. Industrial piercings are made up of two separate ear cartilage piercings joined by a single piece of jewellery. A straight barbell connects the two ear piercings, which are most commonly located in the helix and anti-helix. The industrial piercing is sometimes known by other names, the most popular being the ‘construction piercing’, or ‘scaffold piercing’. The Industrial piercing can take around 2-4 months to heal; we recommend a flexible Bioplast barbell to reduce the stress on your new piercing or in extreme cases a cartilage stud can be used whilst the piercing heals.
